LANAP
Laser Periodontal Therapy™
In an effort to provide treatment options that improve patient acceptance, comfort and clinical results we are pleased to announce that we have added the PerioLase MVP-7 Nd:YAG free running pulsed laser to our repertoire for treating gum diseases. The LANAP protocol, also known as Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure, is the only FDA approved protocol for laser treatment of periodontal disease.
To you, the patient, this means: less pain, less bleeding, less swelling, less tissue removed, and less recovery time than conventional periodontal surgery. The reasons we use Laser Periodontal Therapy™ are to: remove only the diseased tissue around the teeth without removing any of the healthy tissue, maintain the height of the tissue around the teeth, minimize pain and discomfort to the patient, to reduce the periodontal pocket and, in some cases, stimulate new bone growth without bone grafting. Controlling periodontal disease makes it possible to save and restore otherwise hopelessly involved teeth.
